Shackleton's
Way
Shackelton's Way is the book Holy Cross will be
using for summer reading 2008. The Academic Council
has decided to participate in the "One Book, One School"
reading program this summer. This book is very
readable for students, teachers, staff, and parents
incorporating the concept that everyone associated in the
school community read the book. The idea is to encouraged
(parents and staff) or required (students and teachers)
everyone to read Shacketon's Way. The
book becomes a point of reference and focus in various
departments, classes, activities, teams, and families during
the school year. There will be no written assessment
to complete during the summer, although individual teachers
will require assignments in class during both semesters.
Shackelton's Way supports our 2008-2009 school
year theme of "Leadership". |
